Seeing Allah Through Our Hearts, Mustafa Hosny, الكنز المفقود - الحلقة 1 - مقدمة - مصطفى حسني

One of my favorite sayings is "Khair Yum, Yum Allaqiek
" The best Day is the the Day I will meet You oh Allah"

Surat Al Qiyamah Aya 22 to 23

75:22

Some  faces, that Day, will be radiant,

75:23

Looking at their Lord.

Always ask Allah to show you His Signs in this dunya , look for His Signs, Signs in the creation of yourself, Signs in the sunset, the moon, the orbit, Signs in your blessings, Signs in your hardships, Allah always talks about His Signs in the Quran, pay attention.  Surat Al Rum is a Surah in which Allah talks a lot about His Signs, http://quran.com/30

Ask Allah to show you His Signs as to what you should do and you will find a email about a job, ask Allah what school you should go to, ask Allah to help you make decisions in life and Allah will show you His Signs...and think of all of these Signs, these Miracles, all of this as an opportunity  to see Allah in this dunya through your heart...

This lecture Mustafa Hosny is about seeing Allah in this Dunya,

(AND GUESS WHAT, Mustafa Hosny lectures now have a English captions!!)

الكنز المفقود - الحلقة 1 - مقدمة - مصطفى حسني

Here is some of what he said,

"The lost treasures"

The best thing is to see your loved one and feel close to them. Allah is our Beloved, but He told use we will not see Him in this world, but we will see Him in the afterlife, but we can still live with Allah in this dunya,

We will see Allah in every situation that happens to us, everything that happens around us, we will see a Sign of Allahs Signs, we will see  Allahs actions and His Qadr, and His Miracles so that instead of eyes are busy , our hearts see Allah Al Muqwen, Everytime we see something or a situation our hearts will see Allahs wisdom

That is why they say the salheen (good people) see Allah in His Qadr, they see His Wisdom in the hardships they face, they see His Karaam (generosity) in His Blessings

A beautiful Jannah in this dunya before we go to Allahs Jannah  , that Jannah in this dunya is that we live remembering Allah

Our eyes do not get distracted in the creations and the blessings, our hearts before our eyes will work to see Allah

We cant see Him as we cant see Him in this dunya, but you will see His Signs and His Presence in every moment , a big difference from the person who is just living with people, or the blessings that person has they are not very thankful because they don't see the Love of Allah

The best thing is for the eyes of your heart to see Allah in everything, His Signs, His Actions,

That is what it means when we make the shahada:
"Ishahudo in LaialahilaAllah"

The ulma (scholars) said that  the shahada (which means to see) is the opposite of the unseen..

But I don't see Allah , yes inshAllah we will see Him in Jannah but before we go to Jannah , the Jannah of the Next Life, we will live in the Jannah of the Dunya  this world that we will see Allahs Actions, that we will see Allahs Signs in every moment of this dunya,  this is what it means to
"Worship Allah as if you can see Him"

You will not see Allah in the dunya, you will see Him in the afterlife, but wait, this lecture series we will go over moments in life , meanings, and how you can use these moments in life to see Allah, so you can live thinking about the Creator of the situation, not the situation itself.

Allah said in the Quran,

2:186

And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on Me, so they should answer My call and believe in Me that they may walk in the right way.

He didn't say "you the people are close, He said He is close"
, because Allah is close to all of the people, not everyone sees Allah with the heart

If someone was sick with their eye, they go to the doctor to cure it, to protect it, so it can help the person see the beauty of the the dunya, but for the salahheen (good people) whenever they feel any sickness in their heart, like jealousy, arrogance, or doesn't like the good for others, any diseases they go quickly to Allah the Curer of the Hearts because they don't want any sickness in that heart that would prevent their heart from seeing Allah and feels far from Allah

The eye of the heart which Allah refers to in the Quran as "Al Basiraa"

The eyes of our heart that see Allah are our most important eyes

Allah is My Planner, The Best of Planners, Whats Next?

I love when Allah like literally shows me what to do in this dunya, subhanAllah He makes making decisions so simple,

Allah is My Guide, and Allah is My Planner, and He is the Best of Planners!!

SubhanAllah I have been thinking about adding a career to my current career after months of voluntariy work and I swear right when I decided okay inshAllah I will go ahead with the idea, I got a call from someone regarding a open career at my current job with different hours which would accomdate my idea of working another job....and then guess what later on that day I meet a student who was working in the SAME excact career field I was telling my mom earlier that I wanted to work in.

Its cool because moments before all of this I sent that person a text saying, "I will apply inshAllah, why not, and I will ask Allah to help me make the right decision". Allah alwayyyyyss helps me make the right decisions, I don't need to consult anyone about my goals, God is the One who guides my life, thank God, Signs everywhere #blessed AlhumdAllah.

All of this reminds me of a realllllly nice lecture I heard yesterday about seeing Allah in this dunya with your heart subhanAllah, when I get a chance I will write it in English.... ofcourse Mustfah Hosny lol and guessssss what now his lectures have English captions, I wonder if its because I wrote them a bunch of comments requesting for that (I understand his lectures alhumdAllah, but I wanted other people to understand!)

Snow is a Sign, the Sun Will Shine

So once again we had a snow event, as people worry so much about the snow all I can think is, even snow is a Sign from Allah for us to contemplate upon , subhanAllah...and once again I am writing about how the suns light shinning on the sun reminded me of Allahs Light

(New pice from last post! No edits, none of my pictures are edited, because Allahs creation does not need an editor!)
Once again I noticed how the suns light shined upon the snow, slowly melting it. Imagine Allahs Light shining upon our lives, ya Allah! But there is nothing compared to the parable that is given to us in the Quran, Allah tells us about His Light, subhanAllah this aya! And a recitation of my imam Sheikh Hassan reciting the aya!
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J1mYXuOYwJQ

24:35
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.
Surat Noor, Aya 35
I am also sharing an old post which is tafsir Surat Noor I took: http://hudawritess.blogspot.com/2013/03/finally-surat-noor-tafsir-of-one-of-my.html

AlMaghrib, Notes, Surat Noor Tafsir, Light Upon Light

If you have this light of gudiance which Allah only places upon whom He wills, thentake care of it and work on increasing it....

What is Allahs Light as described in the Quran?

Here you go...and sorry if its complicated, the sheikh did not spend alot of time on these ayahs but I hope you learn something!!

So heres the basics before you go to the aya descriptions:
1. These ayahs are a parable to Allahs Light of Guidance
2. "The niche" = representsheart of the beleiver
3. "The lamp"=represents the Quran, ayat, and faith that is in the heart
4. "The oil"= represents the fitrah to beleive in Allah
5.  All of these things combined make the light at its best....causing all to shine, this light is so bright just like the "brilliant star".

The Surah is named after this ayah (Surat Noor)
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth:
Allah guides everything in the heavens and the earth. He is in charge of all of the earth and heavens.
The parable of His light is as a niche: the example of His light, His Light is like: the niche, this is kind of like a sculpture in the wall (google images, niche wall)which helps the light reflect.

The niche represents the heart of the believer <3
and within it a lamp, the lamp is in glass, the glass as it were
a brilliant star:

the lamp with the glass helps spread the light even more, this lamp represents the ayat of Allah.

This lamp is very shiny just like the bright stars.. The lamp, the glass, the stars, all give extra light.
lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east or the west, whose oil would almost glow forth, though no fire touched it:
this is a olive tree, and it is neither of the east or west because the sun is always shining upon this tree causing its oil to glow. The oil is so pure it will shine and glow without light.  The glass itself is shinning also.

The oil is the fitrah of the Muslim, the fitrah is to believe in Allah.

You gain this extra light as believer through good deeds, obedience to Allah.
The example of the believers life is like the niche,
everything combined makes the light bright at its best.
Light upon light!!:
when the two lights (the light of the oil, and the light of the fire) are combined they give light and neither of them can give light without the other.
The light is giving light, the lamp is giving light, the oil is giving light everything is giving  light!
Similarly the light of the Quran and the light of faith give light when they are combined, and neither can do so without the other...!!! subhanAllah!!

Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things:
Allah gives this Light of guidance to whom He wants. He gives use examples (Such as the light of the lamp, niche, glass, oil)

Hardships Are Not That Hard if You Know Allah, AlhumdAllah,

This is alaulaualauala who needs a $100,000 for a rare surgery to help her see properly, in the upcoming months I hope inshAllah to work on a huge campaign to raise this money!

How cool, just as I was about to write this post or was thinking about it, on my Arabic Dish TV, there is a documentary in English about poverty and economics, and the first part I saw was about poor neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and I was going to write  my whole life changed and how I view poverty has changed and how I have a greater duty to take care of those who need me, a greater feeling of accountability. This is how you make shukr as Dr Islam El Fahymoui spent weeks talking about the topic of gratitude and Shukr and how you appreciate a blessing Allah provided you with through helping others.

This documentary is SO ON POINT lol wow , I hope I can find out what its called

Anyways,

The past couple of days changed the way I view poverty, my ummah, and once again Allah, this documentary is addressing everything I just learned in this experience about poverty. Honestly I never dealt closely with anyone who had a serious financial problem, most the people I am around are doing great finically alhumdAllah, while some are very well off mashAllah others are in the middle, but all are living great alhumdAllah. This experience also taught me that I have to be very caerful with which man I choose for marriage, I cant imagine raising children without the support of a husband, weather its financial support or just arm support because I will tell you those twins were HEAVY.  May Allah increase the pyhiscal and emotional strength of the struggling mothers
 I always meet.

This past weekend Allah tested me and my local community. A young convert divorced sister I know (I don't really know her that well , I just know her as the mother of the adorable twins, mashAllah)  was put into a difficult situation, honestly I think her situation is a combo of the story Surat Yusuf in which  Prophet Yusuf was going through a hard time but he had sabrun jamil (beautiful patience) and Surat Al Qasas in which  Prophet Musas mother was seaperted from her son but soon after Allah brought him back to her. That was how I saw her situation, I saw it as a "kashf" as Dr.Elfahymoui taught us in which Allah tests the Messengers through hardships to reveal (kasf) how they will react since the Messengers did not sin much. And although one may think this is only her test, and her hardship, wrong, I think this experience was a community kasfh to see how we would react, how patient would we be? Did we pass this test?

I wana say JazkAllah to those who did help weather you helped raise money, pushed people to raise money, or the mothers who helped take care of twinses, and the partial blind 2 year old for a couple of nights until our community was finally able to get the money alhumdAllah. Some people doubted us, they didn't think we would get her out before Friday, but we never doubted Allah. Allahs promises are always true, and He always finds a way to show off  His Miracles, His Signs and Examples of His Names, His words in the Quran, through experiences we never expect to learn from.

He can show us His Greatest Signs of Mercy through moments of hardship. Allah separated this mother from her children for about three nights, but He placed a feeling of trust and peace within her heart as He assured her that she would be reunited with her children. She believed in Allah, she placed her trust in Him, just as Prophet Musas mother did when she was separated from her new born, Allah tells us in Surat Al Qasas:

28:10

And the heart of Moses' mother became empty [of all else]. She was about to disclose [the matter concerning] him had We not bound fast her heart that she would be of the believers.
28:13

So We restored him to his mother that she might be content and not grieve and that she would know that the promise of Allah is true. But most of the people do not know.

I can talk and talk about this experience, but our work here is not done at all. There is still so much we need to do to help our neighbor, we need to bring her back to our neighborhood. She is not living in a good area right now, a different state in fact, and yesterday when she was going back home finally with her kids, I was worried, mentally it did not feel okay to let her go back to square one, a lonely place with no support. I thought I was going to sleep in peace again knowing that she is finally home with her kids, but yesterday I stillllll couldn't sleep without having some werid nightmares of the babies. I keep and will keep thinking about them until our community gets together to help bring her back to a safer neighborhood with the full care and attention her family needs.  I don't have LOTS of hope in my community, but I have lots of hope that Allah will show us His Light once again, He will show us His Promise, He will show us that

"Verily with hardship is ease".
94:5

94:6

Have you ever wondered why Allah said this aya twice within the same Surah, right after each other? He is ASSURING us that its true, that you will experience some type of unexpected ease in your hardship as you seek Him for help, as you place your trust in Him, just do your part , yes you gota do your part which requires hard work sometimes, but don't worry Allah will also do His part, He will take care of you inshAllah.

College Student Suceess, Allah is the Source of Success

alhumdAllah, taught my first college course at 21

If I was teaching Muslims I would teach them about how Allah is my SOURCE of Success, and I would teach them this beautiful aya

"And my success in my task can only come from Allah,Upon him I have relied..."

Your Beautiful, Surat At Tin !

NEVER underestimate how beautiful you are,
Allah promises us in the Quran that we are all beautiful!

95:4

"Certainly We created man in the best make"
Surat At Tin, aya 5

Umrah, Mahraam, Soon inshAllah

My masjid had a umrah trip this winter break, everyone keeps asking me why I didn't go as this time you can go without a mahram....honestly I actually want to wait until I get married to go with him as my mahram! Especially because in Makkah the men and women pray next to each other I think its important to have a maharam with you!

I just found these pictures on my desktop, beautiful !!!! I know inshAllah, inshAllah Allah WILL let me visit the most peaceful place on earth

Make Duaa For me! Got It, Angels Said Ameen!!

When someone asks you to make duaa for them and you say okay inshAllah, you better mean it! I forgot which sheikh taught us this, that we shouldn't just say ya okay inshAllah and never make duaa for the person but don't forget!

Whenever someone asks me to make duaa for them I tell them I will try and that inshAllah I will not forget....

In the past week alone LOTS of people requested that I make duaa for them, especially students

Whenever I do actually make the duaa I hope that Allah accepts it more then He would accept duaa for myself.

And there is something AMAZING about making duaa for your brother or sister,

"The duaa you make for your brother/sister behind thier back (good duaa ofcourse) the angel says amen and for you the same, and the duaa of the angel is answered!"

O Bilal, Give us Rest With It" Salat, Masjd, Beautiful Quran Recitation

Todays sunset subhanAllah!!

When I think of going to the masjid for isha or maghrib, the beautiful recitation of Sheikh Hassan, the jaamaa, the angels, and seeking that peace, I think of the Prophets hadith:

When telling Bilal  to pronounce the adhan, he said, “O Bilal, give us rest with it.”

Amazing ya Allah!

I cant wait for Ramadan when we get non stop recitation, khusho, peace, and rest of the souls inshAllah, especially the witr duaas, oh how I miss those...alhumdAllah though from time to time my Mosque has random qiyams so after Isha we pray extra and Sheikh Hassan also leads the witr prayer with a  short duaa.

Sheikh Hassan Saleh who has an amazing Quran recitation (hes like top in the world!), he was invited to recite at this huge convnetion and I was soooooo glad we have him as our imam esp when everyone around me was like "Wow mashAllah amazing voice". MashAllah!

Heres a Youtube recitation of Sheikh Hassan in Taraweeh, this is his YouTube page and he posted over 500 videos, he has all of the Ramadan taraweeh recitations (I just noticed)

Here is a recitation of some of my favorite Surahs:

سور النجم والقمر والرحمن والواقعة والحديد من تسجيلات الصلاة للشيخ حسن صالح

Missin Ramadan

These ayahs about fasting and Ramadan in Surat Al Baqrah are making me sad...
I miss Ramadan, the focus is perfect, central, it is Allah.
The nights are spent in the best place on dunya, the Masjid of Allah in lots of duaa, remembrance, and communication with Allah.
Peace, I miss peace

Sunshine, Snow, A Parable to Allahs Light and Cold Moments

Yesterday it snowed a lot here but today  there was lots of unexpected sunshine.

Lately the sunset is a little farther from my view, but its been amazing, its been perfectly huge and round, very beautiful to watch alhumdAllah.

I watched todays sunset as it was shinning a lot through the windows. As I was watching the susnset surrounded with the left over snow I thought, subhanAllah even in the coldest of the days the sun still comes through to shine its light upon us...now imagine you feel cold for different reasons, maybe the people around are cold hearted or you are just feeling cold hearted, and then Allahs Light just shines through to make you feel better....theres a lesson in sunshine and snow, with every cold moment a sun will shine its light to get us through, now imagine Allah

2:257

Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever).
Surat Al Baqarah, 257

When I went to listen to these ayahs on YouTube, I randomly choose a time to listen to only this aya, and the ayas that played were perfect subhanAllah, the aya that was recited was about how if you remember Allah He will remember you, and how Allah is with those who are patient...tell me how can you not experience the miracles of Allah whenever you listen to the Quran, tell me how one can cry and smile at the same time and feel peace when remembering Allah...ya Allah!

Waking up For Fajr, 2014

Goal #2 of 2014:
Fajr, waking up every Fajr, and staying up as I am for sure missing out on those blessed hours after Fajr, what a loser, one of my greatest loss and struggles within this dunya!

The Means?
1. Sleep Early, no more blogging past 12:00 AM!

2. Read lots of duaa before sleeping

Tawkul

Salaam From Madinah!! Assalamu Alayka Ya Rasoul Allah !

Peace and Blessing upon ya habibi ya Rasoul Allah!!

Nothing can make you smile more then a text like this from Madinah, the Prophets Mosque!!

One of my veryyyyyyy good friends is currently in the Prophets Mosque, she said she made duaa for me, she said she told the Prophet I say Salaams, yaaaaa Allah,,,  friends for the sake of Allah.

Ever since she left I have had a lack of help in doing what we do best, saving the world.
True story, once on our way to an Islamic Relief meeting I was a couple of minutes late, she said
"we cant be late in saving the world"!!

Saltuwa Allah alyak ya rasoul that taught us how to love one another for His Sake, salatwul Allah alyak ya Rasoul the one who taught us that ,

"Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: 'Where are those who love one another through My glory? Today I shall give them shade in My shade, it being a day when there is no shade but My shade.'"

Just Do It, Khadjah Stylin It, A Lesson on Approaching Marriage

After months of talking to people, asking for their advice, seeking for their support and getting nothing I expected,  I  reached the point where I can ignore people who do not provide me with  the support I need, because I have Allah listing to me showing me His Signs as He shows me what is best, noooooo one can replace the assurance Allah can provide you with, , Allah is my Rabb, He is the One we make duaa to, He is the One that asks us to recite the ayas of Surat A Faitha in every raka tha ayas of
1:5
"It is You we worship and You we ask for help"
In our culture we are taught that it is "aib" or shameful for women to initiate marriage to men, but it is only out of ignorance and fear that we are accepting this and forgetting about the greatest example, role model within our life, the person we are supposed to love more then our parents, his name is Prophet Muhmmad and his first marriage was not a result of him approaching Khadjah, but rather SHE hes boss is the one who initiated the best love story of our ummahs time.  This is our sunnah, this love story was just not something to look upon from far, this story has a purpose, everything Allah teaches us has a purpose,. Our culture tends to make us forget to make us forget about the purpose of this story, the lesson , the FACT that women can propose the idea of marriage to a man.
Shytan makes it easy for people to fulfill their desires through dating but he tricks us into thinking that it is haram or not approaite for a Muslim women to approach a man in marriage.
Khadjah you are the wife of the best man that ever lived, you did not hesitate to send your message of proposal to the Messenger of Allah.
Khadjhah you asked for the best of mankind, so why should I be shy to ask for anyone less?
One of the worst things we can do to ourselves is make our nafs and desire go through so much hardship when Allah has given us the means. Allah created desire, but He created marriage. Allah creates man, and He also created Law. He created the Laws of life within the Quranic texts, He gave us the best human example to follow Prophet Muhmmad alhyee al saltoo wa salaam.
I have no idea why as single Muslims we make it complicated , if I am not looking to just date the man, and I actualy want to marry him, why should I put my nafs through hardship? Everything in our religion is EASY, we are the difficult ones.
The single people within our lack knowledge, tawkull (trust), and confidence. We have a problem, an underlying problem of fear mixed with low self confidence. We don't expect the best despite our good intentions. If your ineenntion is to please Allah, then don't worry, don't fear, yes fear for the shytan interfering and be veryyyyyy mindful of the shyatn but just keep remembering Allah, remember Allah, ask Him for Help, tell Him what you are seeking, if you are not seeking a haram relationship and you are seeking to complete half of your deen,  make lots of duaa, seek Allah, consult Allah, say BimsAllah, renew your intentions, and just do it, and whatever is the outcome remember that
"And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allah has set a measure for all things" Quran

Surat Al Qasas, After Understanding, Knowledge

Aww I just came across one of the recordings I have of my Sheikh reading Surat Al Qasas, at first I just had it as ShHassan but now listing to it I recognized the Surah because of the NYU Noman Ali Khan course i took in which he taught us the  tafsir and story of this Surah, so beautiful and different when you know what the story is about subhanAllah. In this recording , Sheikh Hassan starts with reciting the ayas about Prophet Musas mom who has to place him into the river, ofcourse his mother is very sad and she wants to break down but becaus of her trust in Allah, He keeps her strong, beautiful ! Also I jus made the connection to that recording and he recited those ayas because the Sheikh at my masjid is teaching the adults a tafsir of Surat Al Qasas ! Here is the YouTube video of my sheikh teaching the class and my other Sheikh reciting the ayas!

28:10

And the heart of Moses' mother became empty [of all else]. She was about to disclose [the matter concerning] him had We not bound fast her heart that she would be of the believers.

Honestly if you made me listen to this recording before the tafsir class i wouldn't enjoy it as much because there is a huge difference between fahm, knowledge, understanding, and truly wisdom.

I did post my notes for this class but until now I didn't post part two and there is an improtant story within part two in which some of the ayas teach us that women can go and work and how women should deal with men when working, I need to make a whole post just for that amazing lesson Noman Khan brought to our attention ! Sorry lol, maybe this week inshallah
