الحلقة 3 - الوضوء مصطفى حسني

Its not random, that the first lecture I come across for Mustfah Hosny has to do with wudu , subhanAllah. And not even three hours before this post I came across this beautiful quote picture
and I got sad. I need to post this in English, but its already 1:30 AM

على طريق الله (روح العبادة) الحلقة 3 - الوضوء (1) مصطفى حسني

Visting Makkaaaahh, Ofcourse InshAllah

So my masjid had two umrah trips so far, and I still didnt go due to paying for college, maharam, and other things but I want to go....inshAllah I will go. My salat rug is an image of the kabah, sometimes I pretend I am there...ya Allah bring me there soon inshAllah.

Mustfa Hosny just shared this beautiful duaa, I think it says, "Oh Allah grant every person who wants to visit your Masjid of Al Haram a visit there. To fix their nafs, souls, and to guide their situation and to increase taqwa in their heart!! Ameeeeeennn

اللهم ارزق كُل مشتاق زيارة لبيتك الحرام، تصلح بها نفسه وتهدي بها حاله
وتنقي بها قلبه

Notes About Halaqas: Omar Ibn AlKhatb, Surat Al Asr, The 5 Pillars

Today was the first time I would join a halaqa in a very long time...I feel like my heart is sooo far away  I need that eman rush as they would call it. I used to attend a lecture every Sunday with Dr Islam El Fahymoui and he would teach us about the heart, it was one of the best parts of my week, and now that he stopped for over three months I feel like I missing that beneficial knowledge, and I hope Allah places me in a place in which I can regain that beneficial knowledge for my heart and soul. The loss of beneficial knowledge in the deen is one you cannot replace!

Todays halaqa I learned three things about halaqas I did not know about

Ending a Halaqa With Surat Al Asr:

Every time you complete a gathering for the sake of Allah, you usually end with Surat Al Asr .

Personally I thought it was because the Surah mentions loss of time, but when you are gathering for His Sake you are doing something beneficial with your time.

I learned that if you look at Surat Al Asr, Allah starts with talking about the individual, and ends with the mention of multiple people, subhanAllah. When Allah mentions the insan, the individual there is a mention of how the person is at loss, but then later in the Surah, Allah mentions "those who believe" and how they are encouraging each other towards what is good. Its a collective effort.
Surat Al Asr: http://quran.com/103

The 5 pillars of Islam
All of the pillars have to do with a collective effort

1. Al Shahada: The second part of the shahada is to believe in Prophet Muhmmad, and so we are following the Prophet collectively.

2. The Salat: It is encouraged to pray salah collectively as are a lot of benefits to praying in the congregation prayer such as praying on time, the 27 extra reward, and spiritually it is more motivating.

3. Fasting of Ramadan: we fast and sometimes we break our fast together, you know in Ramadan there are people who fast because of the motivation that everyone is fasting and you don't want to miss it. Ramadan is a time that gathers people for His Sake. And ofcourse the Eid which is meant for gathering

4. Zakat: you are sharing your wealth with others, its collective

5. Hajj: the most largest gathering for the Sake of Allah on this earth

The Story of Omar Ibn Al Khatab:

The first time Omar Ibn Al Khatb heard the recitation of the Quran before he became Muslim was at his sisters house where she and her husband and a halaqa were reciting the Quran, subhanAllah.

Surprise Qiyams

I loveeeeee when I go to the masjid for isha and my favorite qari al quran leads us for a surprise Qiyam. Today during salat al isha the sheikhs recitation was emotional, it reminded me of Ramadan and I was thinking to myself how we need to have a Qiyam event soon. After we made salams the sheikh said that we would pray four rakat of Qiyam . I literally kind of jumped from excitement because it has been almost 8 days since I was excused to not pray and my heart needed that.
And we as we began the Qiyam the sheikh would cry and from there the whole crowd was crying, it was a taste of Alnafs al mutmanah the peaceful soul. The sheikh also surprised us with a witr dua.

AlhumdAllah, I love when Allah hears my heart and sends surprise qiyams

The First Time: When a Hausband Sees His Hijabi Wife Without Hijab

Women dream about their white bridal dress and their one time veils as they take their vows

As a hijabi I dream about how when I sign my name on that contract with my husband I can finally take off my veil and show off what I got! OH WILD hijabi you think huh?

Then I think about or I anticipate the look of pleasure he will find  and how I will remind him of the aya, "huran ayan" but in a dunya version ofcourse!

I think of how I will make him say , mashAllah  and this is what I dream about and only a hijabi can have this special moment like no other, yup I I said it..only a hijabi...because you just spent x amount of years preserving your beauty for the sake of Allah, because you were a follower of the Quran, Allah will for sure magnify your beauty the day you show it to a man who is of ibn al halal
(oh ya that rhymes and whattttt).

Let me remind you again of that moment when your husband first saw you without your hijab (to the married sisters), and to those who are waiting for the moment, get excited, yes , because there is no comparison to that moment when you will remove your hijab (as long as you got the contract and its halal, im talking about then if its before then you kind of ruined the moment ).

Its in that  moment when your husbands eyes glow as he see will see you as his wife for the first time as bint al nabi , as the most beautiful girl for the first time, no longer in her hijab, in that moment you will think to yourself "the hijab was sooooo worth it!"

What do I mean so worth it, I mean the wait, I mean the kind of sappy moments when you would look so good and take a selfie and think to yourself ah I wish I can post this or when you would come from the salon looking super gorgeous but your frantically trying to cover your hair because you don't need no man on the streets to see your hair, or when you tried on those haram short dresses and you thought to yourself OHHH I look good but im hijabi so gota keep it covered!!

I wont lie there are moments when I have my hair freshly done at the salon (a closed off, like hijabi special salon yup!), eyes and face filled with makeup, a outfit I would never wear in front of anyone, I look into the mirror and I think "imagine I walk out looking like this, how would the men react, would they recognize and appreciate me ?" And then I try to reverse these thoughts and I think of how blessed I am to have  the hijab and how the hijab is the reason I am able to appreciate my beauty as I await for a husband who will also get to enjoy that first moment when I reveal my beauty, thinking like this is what keeps me motived to preserving my beauty! AlhumdAllah

The Vacation Called Taraweeh: Rest

An Exclusive Vacation Called Taraweeh:

When: Ramadan
Location: Any Masjid

Destination: Allah
Cost:Priceless
Goal: Rest & Relax
Passport: A heart that remembers Allah
Did you ever wonder why you love coming to salat al tarweeh even though its about two hours long?
The word tarweeh comes from the arabic word "Raaha" which means rest and relax
This explains why although it is two hours of long standing we still love it and we are so sad when Ramadan is over
While people spend thousands of dollars to go on vacation just so they can "rest and relax", Muslims await for the Tarweeh.Muslims dont have to go on vacation to achieve
this relaxation, they just wait for Ramadan...
Through the tarweeh it is not your body that is at rest, but rather your heart is at rest as it remembers Allah
13:28

Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.
Surat Al-Rad Aya 28
The one whos salat brings this this feeling of raha will tell you two hours is not enough, and they will get up in the middle of the night for the salaatul Qiyaam.
While people find sleeping as a form of rest the believer's find the standing of long  salaat and the making of long sujuds as the greatest form of rest...

The one who has not yet tasted the sweetness of faith in salat will not understand how long salat is a form of rest and relaxation.
Those who have achieved the raha part of the tarweeh try to prolong thier sujud and thier eyes are filled with tears  as thier hearts remember Allah....

If you achieve raha -rest/relaxation this Ramadan you will find yourself in Ramadan withdrawal mood as you will miss ramadan greatly and most of all you will miss the feeling of rest your heart has but you can ask Allah to allow your heart to awlays have this feeling!!

Ask Allah to give to prolong  this feeling of "Raha" throughout the rest of this Ramadan and throughout your entire life
