Tafsir Surat Yasin,Part 6, Ayat 55 to 58: People of Paradise, As Salaam Greets You With Salaam

 

 

Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -

 

 

They and their spouses - in shade, reclining on adorned couches.

 

 

For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]

 

 

And "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord

 

 

 

Now we see that the previous ayahs were about the Day of Judgment and these ayahs are about Jannah. For the believers, the qiyam will be a stepping stone, just to get them to their destination of Jannah.

 

55 all you are busy with in Jannah is enjoying your time, eating fruits, relaxing

 

56 you will go to Jannah with your husband because even in Jannah one needs companionship.

 

You will recline which is the posture of relaxtion, on "Alaarqyik" which is like lounge chairs under the shade.

 

57 In Jannah you will have everything you want

 

58 . but after all these enjoyments you will hear Allah say: (this part is beautiful!!)

 

"Salaam" Peace

This salaam will be the ultimate blessing, hearing Allah

 

Jannah is called Dar Al Salaam The House of Peace,

 

Allah who is Asalaam The Most Peaceful, will greet you to Dar Al Salaam The House of Peace, with the greeting of "Salaam" Peace.
