Last post: "Haram Weddings, Ugly Trend, Arab Culture , Hijabi Takes Off Hijab"
Now lets talk about the ideal Muslim wedding, the wedding trend I would want to start, suggestions for anyone who is getting married soon.
I would love to plan Muslim weddings for the fun of it, a business, hahaha.
Call it HalalWeddings.com !
Call it HalalWeddings.com !
Before you think about everyone who is going to be at your wedding, and making sure they enjoy,
think about this " What do you want Allah to think of your wedding?"?
Bridal Look:
Oh you want that beautiful bridal look right? You want to cover your face in tons of makeup until you can shine? Do you want to show off your beautiful shape in that tight gown?
Keep your full hijab in effect, yes wear a nice gown ofcourse but don't look to beautiful you only want your husband to see that beauty, not every man at your celebration.
You will be shining in noor (light)
Its on Friday Jumaah!
Host a wedding on a Friday, the best day of the week for the Muslim, a day which is already filled with blessings. Christians host their weddings on a Sunday because thats thier juamaah equivalent but how often have you attended a Friday wedding? I only attended 1 wedding on a Friday!
Location?
Start off at the Mosque, followed with a dinner at a restaurant or hall , yum.
And make sure you are feeding your guests with halal food!!
(you wont believe how many weddings I have attended were not halal food).
Theme Color?
Green, the Prophets favorite color, the color of the gowns of Jannah inshAllah!
Entertainment?
Invite cool speakers to your wedding, let them take over the dance floor because there wont be no dancing (maybe you can allow for mens only dabka, as dabka is okay in the Eid celebrations).
Music ?
If you do play music choose some songs that encourage people to make duaa for you, Maher Zains three wedding songs "BarakAllah lakuma" "MashAllah" and "For the rest of my life" are going to have your audience sing along in remembrance of Allah! (It would be cool to just bring him as your singer haha!)
BarkaAllah Lakukma (this song is the duaa people are supposed to say to you when you get married, not the use less pharse "mabrook!" Yes say mabrook, but add some blessed words to your words!
Looking for a cute cake song ?
Maher Zain , for the rest of my life song is awesome, he says "I pray we are together in Jannah" Oh come on whats more romantic that singing about going to Jannah together, talk about lala land!
This is his newest song called "MashAllah"
People are always worried about "hasad" on their wedding, esp Arabs, so why not playing a song which gets people to sing MashAllah!
Money gifts? Donate them if you can!
If you can afford this, tell your guests you are going to donate their monetary gifts to humanitarian relief...just imagine how much BARAKA Allah will place in your own wealth for doing this subhanAllah.
