Their veil symbolizes purity (historically)
while my veil represents the charcterstic which leads to purity: modesty.
What does the bride cover before she walks down the isle? Her face!Sounds like a niqabi!
Now lets look at the colors, what color is the veil and the wedding dress? White!
What color do Muslims wrap their dead in? White!
What color do you wear when you go to Hajj? White
What color did the Prophet encourage us to wear?! White!
"Choose white clothing, as it is the best clothing. White clothing should
be worn whilst living, and the dead should be buried in white"-Prophet
How can these women make fun of my veil, when they choose to wear this same veil on their wedding day?! I know it is not the same exact style, but the concept is similar.
The next time someone asks you the golden hijabi question of
"Why do you wear that thing on your head"? Ask them "Why do brides wear it on their wedding day?"
I thought about all of the Arab girls who take it off only to replace it with a bride veil for their wedding day. How can you give up your personal veil, that Allah made exclusive for you, for the bride version? What a shame it is for you to replace your everyday veil, with something that no longer covers your hair, or your neck (its okay if theres no guys of course!).
Muslim women, stop feeling obligated to take off your veil.
You wear it all your life, all your doing is replacing the color!
